ENGLISH VERSION.

At the time Dingham Borders went into rigor mortis, and within foresight, he found himself in a place which could be defined as a sort of prehereafter, since he became conscious of standing in lines of people that stood seemingly waiting to be processed or admitted somewhere not yet known. You could deem this dimension at the least of ectoplasmic nature, ethereal to say the least.
Boredom seemed to pervade the atmosphere, people bitching about the wait, echoes of the words shit and forever bouncing through the crowd.
Dingham noticed the presence of men who had the head of a lizard who seemed to act as ushers making sure people kept their places in formation and were reminding everyone that death is longer than life.
Dingham applied his gift for chat and pried information from one of these croc faced individuals.
He found out that the lines of people were consistent with particular traits and life history of the involved. Croc face pointed at a formation made exclusively of painters that considered themselves talented and although this was not accurate they obtained money and fame through effort and connections. The exact opposite of what happened to Vincent Van Gogh.
And he dared to ask:---Which way am I classified?---
---You should know that you belonged to the species of the indolent. Those who see themselves as all deserving in exchange for nothing. Not pleased with their lives now they feel life owes them for their pain. And now all of you are in the longest line.---
----How long is my wait.----
----Give or take a millennium it's around three hundred thousand years.----
---But what did I do?---
---This has nothing to do with deeds or omissions. But believe me three hundred thousand years ,once they're over it will seem like a spark amidst eternity.---
Such an answer and the condescending attitude included, were more than Dingham could take. He landed punches on that weird face with such violence that it turned into a bloody mass not distant from the appearance of a basket of tomatoes under an elefant stampede. This reaction prompted the other ushers to expel him from the premises thus reversing the death process, so now to everyone's shock the funerary service was cancelled for lack of a corpse. Standard procedure for cases such this one.

ENGLISH VERSION.
The button was pressed and the process defined as "Final Bang" went on active mode.
Meaning an explosion that pulverized beyond all previous megatonic blasts.
Just like a Christmas sphere with a firecracker inside chunks of earth on fire and animal bodies and steam from all oceans was launched into flight.
This is not meant to impress with the ghastly facts or the visual effects hereby stated. But when planet earth and it's entire development through the ages goes off vanishing into shitdom one can not ignore that all memory of it disappears including Neanderthal, the dinasours, the feudal age, industrial revolution, the world wars, Mozart, the Beatles, every known science and discipline and everyone else that was ever part of the population of any species that ever walked, crawled, swam or flew around.
And that is not the point of interest here, since once everything disappeared it became as if it had never existed.
Nevertheless in another galaxy located at a distance countless millions of light years away as this final bang was occurring in space it was being shown in a format akin to movies by a young genius director by the name Douglas Gramaziakan, and the show ran through a span of real planet earth time with all foretold being presented as creative fiction. It is obvious that this audience had a stretched function of time and space and it must be added that their evolution had arrived at a point where there was no death. When the Final Bang scene was shown there was a standing ovation that lasted about seven years our time. A record in that world. From there everyone levitated and floated all the way to their homes.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11313342736816089013noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288147742655368928.post-64891155887602189722015-01-29T19:57:00.000-08:002015-01-29T19:57:03.535-08:00IDENTIRATIFICATE. © Carlos de la Parra. mini micro versión ESPAÑOL---ENGLISH version micro flash story, scroll down to read and comment.-----¿ Dígame, estoy llamando a "Pasteles a Domicilio"?----

-----NO.NO.NO. noooo, discúlpame Conway.

The phone rang at his seaside mansion, amidst the noise of laughter and music in that never ending party his life had turned into after grinding out a series of best sellers. The author Lester Minder picked up the call and heard the friendly voice on the other end.

----Hi Les, this is Conway from the T.V.show, "Adventure is my gig", great news they want to shoot a special where you and I climb the Annapurna and discuss the experience of mountain climbing from the expert's viewpoint.----

----Well, if such is the case, then they should call an expert to join you in the show. I'm not qualified to be in such an endeavor.----

----Come on, you were the major influence in my dedicating my life to adventure and the thrills of danger. I read your books and also learned from them. Your insights for surviving in the eight thousands are unique.----

----I'm quite flattered by hearing this, but this is due to the fact that my discipline as a writer involves research from many a mountain climber and other characters that I befriend. And of course my obsession with greatness, my standard book goes through a minimum twenty one rewrites before it's published. But the only personal climbing I've done is some beautiful models and some ex wives. Although I quit the habit of marriage, awfully expensive my friend. Those hours of pleasure turn into years of payments. By the way, next saturday I'm hosting a bikini party, you'll be most welcome to join in-----

----Yeah thanks for inviting, you're right about marriage , been there too. So now what? I hate to let go of this opportunity, there's too much money involved and then exposure and reruns.---

----Right. I'm not saying we refuse. Just tell them it begins here at the party, when they see the ratings this brings in they will want keep raking in the gold. Hell yeah, you know that as well as I do.----

And it worked just like the wise old writer said. Conway also learned how to enjoy life more away from danger. Adrenaline is also over rated, like everything else.
Hablar.

At age 32 although still living with his parents Pembert Flagg had not worked a single day in his entire life and claimed that school wasn't his thing either. His father, an important chef in New York city, had hope in training him at home in the preparation of great food and allowed his son's friends to lounge in his home discussing philosophical stances of all sorts since he figured this was better for all than to be out in the streets partaking into drugs and violence.
The variety of subjects discussed would deal in speculation about the origins of the universe but it would also sidetrack into theories and opinions held by Pembert Flagg and one could hear him roaring out that feeding on eggs was akin to ingesting the abortion of a chicken, and this sort of speeches were taken in by his mother as if they had come from the Harvard University science department and nothing less. Afterwards she would extend this wisdom at the hair salon she owned, impressing the ladies there, whose deeper concerns ranged from toenail painting to airbrushing makeup or hairdos. There was no end to the admiration she had for her son as a philosopher and theorist in all matters. A recurring theme was the origin of man and they could never come to an agreement amongst the group as to whether to decide for creationism or for evolution, although one of the regulars, Jerry, had been often been pointed out by the group as living proof of the missing link's existence. Something quite likely. He happened to be a bit dense in the brainer so they would pick on him at the dinner table asking questions such as :---Hey Jerry, do you think the moon will fall from the sky onto the earth from floating up there for so long?---- And he would reply.------------You guys just load me up with things to worry about, I prefer to enjoy the lobster in wine sauce, it's really great.--- But aside from this exception they would bring up the questions of who fed the very first human baby, and whether his upbringing was performed by apes or was there a break in their relationship with these monkey ancestors. One could hear the wildest points of view. Never a dull moment. Many questions pending answers. Why did apes stop mutating? Worms still mutate into butterflies. Why didn't God create a perfect universe?
There were no conclusions taken into these matters, all remained into a developmental status.
By mere fate, came a day when Pembert wandered into this humongous temple that was attracting a growing attendance in the city. The hall was surrounded by people that had just been converted into the belief that man was left here from outer space following a divine mission to travel and populate the universe. There were open discussions where all joined exposing their viewpoints. This matched Pembert's style like tailor made to perfect fit, so he became a regular speaker and shined amongst the crowd with all his life experience in speaking to his group, and furthering the concern of matters which he felt explained the entire realm of existence.
The elderly leader of this cult happened to pass away and from his deathbed named Pembert to succeed him as Pope of that organization. There were news and other media at the funeral and this presence launched his career to new heights as he was able to indulge into one of his routine speeches on the depths of the mind where he exposed the questions about an insane man telling a lie. Did he lie willingly,or was the lie a truth in his crazy mind? Could one be partially mad, or partially sane? The mind is an everchanging mistery.
He moved into the temple with his family promoting his dad to Head Chef, and his mom no longer had to work and relished her new mediatic status. She asked Pembert if from now on he wanted to be refered as his Holiness or just Pope, he humbly declined and told her,----Just call me your excellency.---
The exposure of his charisma on every screen turned him into a cultural icon.
The cult under his leadership acquired such stature that non believers were badly looked upon.
And he knew. He knew that when a person listens it's not able to think at the same time. That's the old trick all politicians use. That's why all they have to do is talk. Talking is easier than work.
There's and old debate about painting and sculpture that remains alive.
Across time we have witnessed the achievements that show mastery in painting and sculpting.
Those details that make a painting show images with a quality beyond a photo because of added effects such as lights, tonalities and colors that a real image might not provide.
Painters can bring prescence to the canvas with such fine details that allow us to see a fresh haircut on a character, or the chipping on the surface of a horses hoofs, they can leave us awestruck when they reproduce the fog, or wrinkles on silk or velvet and even the pores of human skin; exposing their genius in their craft.
And since painting was born there have also been bad painters. Some with a flat lack of talent or even worse others pretending to have it by mounting an apparatus of social networks along with public relations hackers who present them as geniuses because they smeared paint in a senseless way on a canvas. There were people like that in the past, the difference is that back then they couldn't sell. Even the great ones like Van Gogh were not able to sell.
The collective show opened at a gallery whose name many prefer to forget.
The star of the show was a living master of technique and color who could make you feel like you were right there at the beach staring at his seagulls. Wet feathers and the sense of motion as they frolicked in the waves. Beautiful moment captured surpassing the might of a camera.
He even showed a video where he teaches how in painting just about anything you can get your hands on is a tool, not only the traditional paints and brushes, spatula, sponges and canvas. He demonstrated a toothpick with tangerine thick watercolor applying highlites on the seagull's legs. And everyone watching saw that saw the light in reference that a q-tip or a cottonball or even a piece of paper could be laying paint into infinite modes. In this fashion painting does what writing can not, for literature is merely a prison of words, and these at the most can be printed.
But there were those other impostors who had managed to pass as artists hanging on the walls those images of deformity that propulsed their agents and/or backers to allow their claim to fame and high prices. Something that plagues many shows, not only in galleries but also in museums, such as a canvas with indiscriminate blurs of black paint that requires zero talent to make, or the geometric figures some not even attempting any precision on their lines, mainly squares ,triangles or circles in various colors, or the most sickening that portray paint smeared in hundreds of brush strokes and colors, with the subsequent explanation by some curator or some other fake attempting a massive con with a long explanation of deepness beyond the awareness of a normal visitor.
This irked the living master leading the show, but to avoid a confrontation he put a plan in process.
On some of his walls he hung his prominent past and current works , but he saved an area to the side where he had performed that kind of art that can only be understood through somebody explaining a lot of shit in an attempt to have these pieces understood. And these particular ones he placed on sale at prices under ten dollars, in opposition to the high end pieces. All of these sold out just because it was a true bargain to get something like that with his signature, but true conossieurs took home most of the good stuff rendering a nice payday.
Well, the fakes of the art community resented this demonstration of logic and ganged up to ban him for future shows. He didn't mind at all the good riddance.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11313342736816089013noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288147742655368928.post-27409750917931339882014-08-11T07:04:00.000-07:002014-08-11T07:04:01.169-07:00VITAMINOSIS. copyright Carlos de la Parra. versión ESPAÑOL;;;ENGLISH version, scroll down to read and comment.
---Not getting fired is the new promotion.----
True as truism can get. It was a man's duty to keep bread and butter on the table, And porkchops. But then you heard about guys like Snowden who had it cushy at the top and couldn't hold their mouth letting the world know how they can't take anymore spying. Get a life. Everyone spies on everybody, that's just how it is. It seems he raised quite a stink. Now everyone knew about Angela Merkel's sex life. Does she really have one? Weird sense of morals that got him into exile for betraying secrets he was trusted with. Good luck with that.
From the window of his bedroom Dillon could see his neighbor's home. It was right next to a wooded area where he used to play when he was a kid. The little jungle they called it.
The conversation was generic. He could hear the two old men ribbing each other with friendly insults. They picked on each other's only to always score on their best side and burst into laughter.
Dillon was glad he got this assignment,it was an enjoyable exchange of wits. He could never figure out what his agency was looking for in their conversations. There were times he thought perhaps they also enjoyed all the jesting.
Now came Mr.Lupercio's turn. ----See the issue with you Samarkhan is that you're so old that when you went to school there was no history subject yet.--- Both roared with laughter.
---You're right Lupercio. But when they started teaching history we found out that you were the waiter at the last supper.--- And they kept going on their routine.

---Hi mom. Just wanna let you know the big mastiff,Gobbler, broke loose from the leash as we walked around Rodeo Drive and dashed into the gourmet food shop and swallowed a large bucket of Beluga caviar and the man from the store told me he's billing you for it about five grand, because fortunately the bucket was not full. But that's not the worst part. I don't know what got into the dog's head with everyone yelling at him that he ran into the antiques palace at the mall and vomited on a ballroom size Bohara rug and the owner almost had a heart attack and he was yelling in a foreign tongue and when he finally came back to English he told me he will ship the rug to you and bill you for it, he mentioned an amount in millions.----
---What the heck were you doing with the dog in Rodeo drive? You should have taken him to Walmart.---
----But they no longer let us go near Walmart since that time he was eating the tri tip steaks and growled at the manager when he complained about it.---
----Well I had enough of you and that dog! Now that rug will be placed into your room when it gets here and I will deduct the cost from your allowance for a whole year---
----That's not fair mom. I need the money to get the Ferrari out of the shop. That is like living in hell.---
----Well you don't live in hell, you live in Beverly Hills, this will teach you to be more careful with that dog.---
This psychodrama involved the everyday life for Dermott and his mother since the father, the banker, had left them to go live with a younger woman as a way to rid himself of this dysfunctional family.
A few weeks later, the rug already cleaned and installed in Dermott's room, the mother was in Vegas gambling on a lucky streak, she had just hit three million in cash on the roulette as she smoked like a maniac when her heart exploded as she collapsed on her stack of chips and alcoholic beverages.
Her ex husband, the banker, showed up hours later to cash in his wife's winnings, and destined a tiny slice of that for a modest funeral with cremation of the remains. At a moment when he walked one of the hallways of the Bellagio he poured the ashes on a large public ashtray and internally celebrated the good riddance of the costly neurotic bitch.
To make sure there would be no inheritance money and assets detoured from his bankster's pocket he operated a procedure in which a psychiatric team committed his son Dermott to a counseling center
in a secluded countryside institution where he could chill for a few years into maturity
The ancient Greek determined that time iself had two modes. Plain ,everyday routine time was termed as chronos. It happens when you visit the dentist,or walk through streets, or take the dog to the vet. That all happens in chronos time. But precious time, the time of change or opportunity was called Gyros.
This is the kind of time you face when it's your turn at the bat. Or a performance.
The phone rang, as Hermogene Clitophilliac considered these instances, and it turned out to be a call from Julia, a girl he had listed as good riddance but seemed to return like a summer allergy. And surely, here she was again, persistent as a chronic hemorrhoid. Bitchy, conflictive and annoying made an accurate description of this skank.
In the recent past, Hermie had weeded out his small private harem consisting of about a dozen local young ladies, because he realized he had evolved both his style and taste in women. on repeated occasions he woke up staring at some faces that revealed some feature that had previously gone unnoticed. The witchy face, a hook nose, a stupid expression or attitude, or some other obnoxious instance or trait. So back then he replaced most of them with peachy results.
Even in Mexico City it was a bit costly to support the company of so many extreme beauties, but it was affordable to him being the son and single heir of a supermarket tycoon, he was perfectly adapted to his lifestyle as a professional son, his father was generous to him constantly handing gifts of cash which he did not squander, much to the contrary he kept his personal fortune growing as he lived in privilege. His experience at courting was legendary. From the moment of meeting to getting them into bed he averaged under two hours if he wanted; although he usually herded them to one of his many estates and delighted in the pleasures of love around the third date.
But for now he put his habitual daily moves to a halt. Julia around and her tendency to show up and make a scene could spoil many efforts invested in his love life. It was fortunate he had good social contacts so he found a way to get Julia an attractive source of employment in an embassy at some far away country with a name that sounded like Katchatarka, which would keep her distant enough.
He savored a dry martini as the orchestra played on the dance floor of his new beach house, softly taking her by the waist and dancing into an illusion of romance. She was stunning and to a hermit like him she could mean total love for at least the rest of that week or maybe just that night. You never know for sure.

Victor Galt, the race driver, was trapped in the midst of a pancake type crash in the hairpin curve and in a flash he turned into a fireball , it took him a micro fraction of time to experience both death and reincarnation. The final visual impression from the circuit included him and the fellow competitors going into barbecue mode. Soon this imagery softly faded out.
But now he found himself reincarnated as a passenger on a speedboat. In a way akin as when you zap the channel on a t.v. set. It was noisy all around as they ripped across counterwind and the craft bounced hitting the water so hard it seemed about to come apart any second. Victor kept his cool, speed and risk had been at the core of his daily routines ever since an early age and this conditioning made him rather enjoy those perils. He also noticed the presence of another man in the boat, and this one seemed beyond relaxed amongst the turmoil, if anything could be read on this gentleman's face was a mesmerized trance more related to the calm demeanor of someone getting a shoeshine than finding himself in such a hazardous moment.
Victor yelled so he could be heard amongst the racket and asked the fellow where were they heading to. Much to his surprise the reply struck him hard. The man delivered the answer with the cruel joy of a friend telling you that you get to dance with the ugliest chic in the prom.
---We go to die. You have just entered a world populated by genial giants who see you and me located within the food chain in the same way you could value an oyster or a clam in your previous life. And you think this is an ocean? Think again, we are in their soup plate and the waves are caused by the movement of their spoons. Have you noticed the boat has no engine but it soars fast across the soup?----

----Yeah, What's propelling it?----

----It's the paint job. But don't worry. Soon after he's eaten us we'll reincarnate in a nearby paradise where we get to live another pleasant life while they allow us to reach our prime and reproduce so they can keep us as a food supply. Quite symbiotic if you ask me.---
Victor was not of the kind to accept being part of anyone's digestive process. As soon as the boat with the two of them got picked up by the spoon, he leaped out toward the giant's clothes and rappeled all the way to the floor. Only to find out that things had taken the worst possible turn.
A weird sort of cat came after him and it was like trying to escape a cheetah. Impossible. This one he would later learn was called a marrooker. It sprung at him in a flash and picked him up with his claws in a way that hoisted him upwards and <strike>shot</strike> Victor into his mouth as if he were a peanut. Again his reflexes paid off as he dived inside the marrooker's throat to avoid getting chewed away into a bloody pulp. He just had to wait out for the beast to fall asleep to escape. Easier said than done if one considers that the smell inside the marrooker's throat would make the odor inside of a New York sewer seem like a lady's perfume in comparison. It had really been too much to survive the risk ,twice in the same day, not to be turned into shit. Fortunately he was able to get out and leave the giant's house to search for the paradise the other guy had told him about. It seemed that life was and endless search of edens.
Lester Short had spent his whole life going through efforts to achieve all sorts of mental powers.
Constantly downloading information on the subject of strengthening the spirit and the mind. Through the years he failed at telekinetic efforts by never moving any object for a fraction of an inch, no matter how much he focused on it; likewise in other disciplines not achieving levitation, and wasting his years away at yogi practices that meant spending thousands of man hours in meditation strived to awaken the kundalini energy and causing it's serpent like configuration to spiral in an upward jolt of body electricity that would awaken everyone of his chakras for the attainment of a state of enlighment called the supreme illumination, a sort of nirvanic experience that had been reached by the likes of Ramakrishna and Siddartha Gautama, the Buddha himself.
The failure to reach these goals had become a permanent source of frustration to Lester, adding the fact that dedicating such a large amount of his time to these endeavours had impoverished him to the point of having to move into a room at a run down hotel in a downtown ghetto area. As a result hardly anyone ever visited him both for fear of getting mugged and because they perceived him as a weirdo deriving into near madness. He was practically an urban hermit.
Notwithstanding any efforts applied to his improvement in the mystic field he never went beyond suffering the toils and anxiety shared with the rest of everyday passengers that used the city transportation bus and metro systems.
So on that fateful day he finds himself getting off the bus in drenching rain and having to cross the city square without an umbrella or even a plastic bag to cover his head. By the time he arrived at his room his health had derived into a condition of delirious fever and pneumonia caused by exposure to the wind and the storm.
Lying there in the bed he saw them arrive. They were the inseparable sisters Death and Loneliness who had come to take him away and deliver him as fodder to the worms.
But at this very moment he saw the light of epiphany. It brought him to rejoin all his practices from the past into the one single attempt to focus it all into the process of reincarnating into an angel or go for broke.
The final spasm as he lost his life was so intense it cracked his ribs in a loud popping sound that he heard within his last consciousness of pain. He was now lighter in weight and found himself flapping wings in flight in the company of angels, and there was one , more luminous than the rest who appeared to be the leader and smiled at Lester and signaled him to keep on flying and directed him into a beautiful room that had a table served with a banquet. The smell of vegetable soup stood out and he felt hungry and proceeded to land next to the steaming bowl and began slurping with delight; only to hear a voice that yelled out something about a fly eating the soup. A fly, he thought, well at least that's getting to a start.
Cracking up in laughter, the English literature professor read out loud the micro story presented by the pupil:

"Drowned in tears, he asked his brother to mail him part of his mother's ashes.
The brother accepted the request and while holding the line he could hear the old lady screaming as she burned away".

---Man-- said the teacher, this must be the funniest piece of dark humor fiction ever written. a jewel if I may say.---

---Oh, you could say it is a jewel. Although it is historic dark humor, mind you,not fiction.---

And he pulled out the flamethrower.
