Era la conclusión de "Bailando con las estrellas", y las tres parejas finalistas iban a presentarse juntas en la pista para que público y jueces los pudiésen comparar.
Todos competían ferozmente con sus giros agresivos flotando con los acordes del bandoneón y el violín rebotándose las notas entre la armonía del baile. Como en shock repentino cayó la sorpresa de un elemento inesperado que se deslizó sobre la pista como queriendo ser parte del espectáculo; y no era precisamente otra pareja. Era un kotex sangriento.
Cada una de las parejas se esforzaba por desmarcarse de la cercanía de la toalla sanitaria manchada.
Y le pegaban lanzándo el objeto con quien ninguno deseaba ser asociado. Pies qué impulsaban pases de empeine como los del fútbol. Y mágicos regresos de taconazo, y la gasa femenina que corre por toda la pista hasta que alguien la patea y cae sobre la mesa de los jueces exactamente en armonía con la nota final de la orquesta, y a cuadro queda el paño femenino; ahí se enfocan todos los lentes de las cámaras y estalla la polémica con todas las danzantes negando la propiedad de ésta.
Entran la prensa y los opinólogos nacionales al juego y exigen pruebas de ADN; una de ellas dice que sólo que todas acepten hacerse juntas el exámen, ella también. Pero las otras dos reaccionan diferente y una se va de monja y la otra huye al destierro.
Entre más avanzaba la crisis económica, más se hablaba del caso del kotexgate, como era conocido el asunto popularmente.

That night the " Dancing with the stars " show came to conclusion. They staged a three finalist couples tango performing at the same time so  a comparison could be established.
Everyone floated with the notes doing their best dance steps. The music had instruments bouncing the notes at each other in a frenzied staccatto. Like a sudden shock a new element joined the floor, and not precisely an extra couple, but an impossible to ignore bloody kotex.
All the dancers tried to dissociate themselves from the feminine sanitary item that began to upstage them.
At first it slid back and forth like the ball being passed in a soccer game. Casual sidekicks with insoles, and brushing away the object with sideswipes only increased the uncomfortable presence. Next during a gyrating motion with the rythm someone harshly rendered a back kick using the heel, causing it to land harmonious with the final note right in the middle of the judges table, and into frame of all the camera lenses present.
They publicly questioned the unexpected item, and denial exploded from all sides.
Enters the national media demanding DNA testing as evidence , the first one of the ladies challenged said she would agree to do the labs only if all parties involved got tested at the same time.
But the other girls were not so willing to undergo this; so one of them found permanent seclusion as a nun, and the other one expatriated herself .
The more the economy crisis grew, the more all forms of media would comment on kotexgate as the biggest story around.
