ENGLISH VERSION.
Mrs.Meredith SouthCastle Van Grafferty was proudly showing her lady neighbors a picture of her son, the card dealer who worked in the Vegas casino, known to everyone as Charlie Reds and he appeared at the center of the portrait surrounded by four celebrities whose names and faces bore instant recognition, and these were James Gandolfino, John Lennon, George Harrison and Michael Jackson.
The surpising fact was that everyone shown in the print was dead, including her own boy.
Everyone who looked at the photograph assumed that they were not themselves but doubles who made a living in Vegas as impersonators just like the thousands who played Elvis.
But this was not the case here and she had gone as far as getting a graphologyst to certify the signatures of all of them since they had autographed the photo.
Although she cursed the day she left London, to live a shabby life in Brooklyn she was very proud that her son Charlie had better friends in death than he did in life, where he had always ran around in the company of bums and con men. Always people of dubious present and uncertain future.
And now , just look at him pictured with two Beatles, although she did agree with her offspring these two should have been the last ones to die.
But it was quite clear to her that life and death are such confusing subjects.
