SOCIAL COLORATURA. versión ESPAÑOL---ENGLISH version scroll down to read and comment.
ENGLISH VERSION.
There's and old debate about painting and sculpture that remains alive.
Across time we have witnessed the achievements that show mastery in painting and sculpting.
Those details that make a painting show images with a quality beyond a photo because of added effects such as lights, tonalities and colors that a real image might not provide.
Painters can bring prescence to the canvas with such fine details that allow us to see a fresh haircut on a character, or the chipping on the surface of a horses hoofs, they can leave us awestruck when they reproduce the fog, or wrinkles on silk or velvet and even the pores of human skin; exposing their genius in their craft.
And since painting was born there have also been bad painters. Some with a flat lack of talent or even worse others pretending to have it by mounting an apparatus of social networks along with public relations hackers who present them as geniuses because they smeared paint in a senseless way on a canvas. There were people like that in the past, the difference is that back then they couldn't sell. Even the great ones like Van Gogh were not able to sell.
The collective show opened at a gallery whose name many prefer to forget.
The star of the show was a living master of technique and color who could make you feel like you were right there at the beach staring at his seagulls. Wet feathers and the sense of motion as they frolicked in the waves. Beautiful moment captured surpassing the might of a camera.
He even showed a video where he teaches how in painting just about anything you can get your hands on is a tool, not only the traditional paints and brushes, spatula, sponges and canvas. He demonstrated a toothpick with tangerine thick watercolor applying highlites on the seagull's legs. And everyone watching saw that saw the light in reference that a q-tip or a cottonball or even a piece of paper could be laying paint into infinite modes. In this fashion painting does what writing can not, for literature is merely a prison of words, and these at the most can be printed.
But there were those other impostors who had managed to pass as artists hanging on the walls those images of deformity that propulsed their agents and/or backers to allow their claim to fame and high prices. Something that plagues many shows, not only in galleries but also in museums, such as a canvas with indiscriminate blurs of black paint that requires zero talent to make, or the geometric figures some not even attempting any precision on their lines, mainly squares ,triangles or circles in various colors, or the most sickening that portray paint smeared in hundreds of brush strokes and colors, with the subsequent explanation by some curator or some other fake attempting a massive con with a long explanation of deepness beyond the awareness of a normal visitor.
This irked the living master leading the show, but to avoid a confrontation he put a plan in process.
On some of his walls he hung his prominent past and current works , but he saved an area to the side where he had performed that kind of art that can only be understood through somebody explaining a lot of shit in an attempt to have these pieces understood. And these particular ones he placed on sale at prices under ten dollars, in opposition to the high end pieces. All of these sold out just because it was a true bargain to get something like that with his signature, but true conossieurs took home most of the good stuff rendering a nice payday.
Well, the fakes of the art community resented this demonstration of logic and ganged up to ban him for future shows. He didn't mind at all the good riddance.

VITAMINOSIS. copyright Carlos de la Parra. versión ESPAÑOL;;;ENGLISH version, scroll down to read and comment.

Always on top of the current trends in health and nutrition, there was one Philbert Wisenberry who would start mornings inflating his lungs at the utmost doing series of twenty. This practice would assure keeping his air waves from loosing elasticity and entering into early decrepitude.
Reason why, even though Philbert was well into his seventies he froze into a permanent middle age status. As any self respecting health maniac should, he would never miss his daily fruits and vegetables juice added by turmeric and ginger roots and supplements from the naturist store which defied pronounciation. Along wuith due portions of nuts and sprouts, hawaiian astaxanthin and the entire ABC of vitamins. To preclude against hypervitaminosis he would fast with water only for days at preset intervals. It seems the cause of his demise was the too frequent company he kept with a nymphomaniac model he had been painting during his final months. But as he laid dead in the coffin, he still smiled.

ALTEREGOS. © Carlos de la Parra. versión ESPAÑOL---ENGLISH version, scroll down to read and comment.

The individual appearing before the judge had a person inside of him that besides invading his mind and body inflicted the man with beatings and torture.
The judge observed the man punching his nose with such force that made it bleed all over his shirt, as he expressed:---See for yourself your honor. This is just a sample of the constant abuse that I put up with every day. I request that you lock up this man in a prison even if I must get put away myself.---
The judge denied such a sentence and suggested the man get professional help. The plaintiff/defendant went boiling over this and attacked the man in the robe so fiercely it took three assistants to subdue him. This sufficed for the magistrate to sentence him to an institution for the criminally insane. Once in the cell the man spoke with this person invading him.
----Now it's payback time once and for all, and besides I get the pleasure of watching you rot in this cage.----
The bad guy's revenge was worse, for he just disappeared leaving him all alone. Lonelier than ever.

VITAL COLOR. © Carlos de la Parra. comienza versión en ESPAÑOL sigue ENGLISH version, scroll down to read and comment.
ENGLISH VERSION.
Lambert Gumara was taking part in his first exposition as a painter. Instead of canvas or wood his works were paint on sheet metal.Nevertheless splendid tones composed his coloring.
It so happened that the top critic in the arts labeled him as, quote,"someone whom undoubtedly reach success in automotive painting". Since young Lambert was young and naïve he did not taste the venom contained in this judgment and wasted no time in setting up shop based on this advice.
Nowadays there are long lines of women outside of his place of work waiting to be accepted as a customer and have the car painted by this famous genius. The word is out that amongst these women he chooses as lovers he inspires the mastery of his works through an initial erotic session that includes passionate spanking.
Everyone of these beauties trembles anticipating her turn as she can hear the music of pleasure coming through the walls of the waiting room.
It's not for nothing his shop's sign flaunts the name "The Eden of Hedonism."
Women swarm around him. He is very selective in his engagements.
A divo of painting surpassed by his own myth.

CABLES. © Carlos de la Parra. versión ESPAÑOL---ENGLISH version just scroll down to read and comment.
ENGLISH VERSION.
Dillon Costas had spent his working life without a single promotion. Always in the field of telephone espionage. His group didn't even hold the title spy. Listeners, they were called, not spies which sounded more romantic to Dillon. Nevertheless he could hear his wife's words ringing in his head.
---Not getting fired is the new promotion.----
True as truism can get. It was a man's duty to keep bread and butter on the table, And porkchops. But then you heard about guys like Snowden who had it cushy at the top and couldn't hold their mouth letting the world know how they can't take anymore spying. Get a life. Everyone spies on everybody, that's just how it is. It seems he raised quite a stink. Now everyone knew about Angela Merkel's sex life. Does she really have one? Weird sense of morals that got him into exile for betraying secrets he was trusted with. Good luck with that.
From the window of his bedroom Dillon could see his neighbor's home. It was right next to a wooded area where he used to play when he was a kid. The little jungle they called it.
The conversation was generic. He could hear the two old men ribbing each other with friendly insults. They picked on each other's only to always score on their best side and burst into laughter.
Dillon was glad he got this assignment,it was an enjoyable exchange of wits. He could never figure out what his agency was looking for in their conversations. There were times he thought perhaps they also enjoyed all the jesting.
The older man Samarkhan Virdiamugda came across the phone line starting the skirmish.
----Lupercio, I can't thank you enough for those gift vitamins that you brought from your trip. I am amazed at their powers of rejuvenation. I been taking them daily for the past week and I already feel a half an hour younger.----LOL for both. And Samarkhan adds---No,seriously,last week I looked seventy years old,but now I look sixty nine and a half.--- Big LOL again. Now came Mr.Lupercio's turn. ----See the issue with you Samarkhan is that you're so old that when you went to school there was no history subject yet.--- Both roared with laughter.
---You're right Lupercio. But when they started teaching history we found out that you were the waiter at the last supper.--- And they kept going on their routine. One of them said by seeing the other, he now was certain they bring zombies back to life in Haiti. And that he believed so many reincarnations had taught him a lesson in longevity. Dillon Costas heard this over and over as part of his job. And he thought about how bored he was. Twelve years on the job had taken a toll on him. He saw himself on the mirror and felt phobia at his own obesity.

BRAZIL SOCCER. © Carlos de la Parra. versión Español---English version follows, scroll down to read.
ENGLISH VERSION.
The patient told his psychiatrist that his addiction to soccer had led him to pawn his house in exchange for a travel package to Brazil that included tickets to all the World Cup games.
The Doctor opposed this action so firmly that he convinced the man to hand him the tickets and that he himself would go cancel them and would personally hand him his reimbursement to ensure that he would not delve any further into the traps of this obsession that could lead him only to self destruction or to sink into a life of crime. Hours after complying with this promise to his client and refunding him the money amidst a tearful scene of the man's wife expressing her gratitude, the psychiatrist visited his own therapist to whom he revealed having lied to a customer in order to obtain for himself the tickets to the World Cup games. The other Doctor gave him a frozen stare as he said---If you give me one of the tickets, I will not blackmail you.---
