Desde que dejó de formar parte de las fuerzas especiales se dedicaba a cuidar las espaldas del millonario banquero. Lo más valioso que había adquirido en su entrenamiento era la capacitación psíquica, a través de la cual podía detectar de antemano presencias agresivas dentro de los que rodeaban a ÚNICO, nombre código asignado a quien tenía la misión de proteger.
Cuando llegaron al distrito financiero bajó del auto de avanzada, en el cual hacía su arribo en forma anónima para captar las presencias y sus vibraciones y de ahí poder radiar órdenes pertinentes al resto del equipo de seguridad. Estaba presente una multitud de indignados manifestando su inconformidad. Palpó las voces de las mentes con tanta claridad , que autorizó el descenso de la comitiva, ÚNICO estaba por caer, y él, su guardián, había convocado a toda ésa masa en su contra, pues más que nadie conocía sus culpas, y no éstaba de acuerdo con la injusticia que prevalecía en su mundo.

Since he was discharged from the special forces he was in charge of the millionaire banker's security squad.
The most valuable part of his training had been psychic perception, through which he could pick out any threatening presence surrounding code name UNIQUE, the man he kept away from harm's way.
As he arrived ahead of the group, as he always did, anonimously, so he could radio the clearance to arrive for the banker and the rest, he saw the protesters who wanted the economy to be transformed into a new operative pattern along with everything else that was wrong with the world.
He smiled and gave the all clear. He now knew this was the beginning of the end for UNIQUE and his gang.
And it was him, his guardian who had summoned all those people to action, since he was witness to his evil, and disagreed with the prevalence of so much injustice in his world.

En las pantallas de los monitores de las oficinas desde las cuales se espía a todo ciudadano, se observó un video con el siguiente audio, grabado dentro de un consultorio psiquiátrico.

----Pues no, doctor, no me catalogo como persona feliz en lo más mínimo. En mi opinión la felicidad es asunto propio de imbéciles.---

----¿ Acaso prefiere ser infeliz?---

----No diga idioteces doctor, que no le queda. Lo mío es el absoluto vacío. Yo soy Taoísta.---

----Ah, qué envidia.-----

On the screens of the monitors from which every citizen is spied on. The following conversation was observed and recorded at a psychiatrist's office.

----My answer to that is no, doctor. I do not consider myself a happy person. I believe happiness is a concern for idiotic people.---

----So , would you state that you prefer being unhappy ?----

----Inaccurate doctor. Such a statement is unbecoming to a man of your stature. I'm into total vaccum. Mine is the way of Tao.---

----I truly envy you---.

 En el momento en que el señor Carlos Darwin se dió cuenta de que no había solamente un eslabón perdido, sino miles que caminaban entre nosotros , fué demasiado tarde, pues murió sin reportarlo.

By the time Mr.Charles Darwin noticed there was not one missing link, but thousands of them walking amongst us, it was too late, he died before he had a chance to report it.

Bustanio era considerado una leyenda como personaje ahorrativo. Había obtenido la plaza de vigilante nocturno en el cementerio para evitar pagar la renta. Bien decían de él , que una moneda en su mano jamás volvía a ver la luz del sol; y que podía apretarla hasta que se cagara el águila.
Pasó por un gimnasio y pensó en lo que estaba ahorrando de cuotas ,ya que él no gastaba ni un céntimo en ejercicios, y así caminando llegó a la falda del volcán. Y para aprovechar el esfuerzo trepó hasta el mismo cráter.
Pensó al mirar el cavernoso abismo en que rara era la vida, la forma en que recientemente había enviudado y en como después de tantos esfuerzos le habían diagnosticado una enfermedad terminal. Cuando el doctor le dijo la cifra que le costaría la operación, le espetó --- No óigame ,mejor me muero, que dejarme robar así---
Antes de lanzarse al cráter hizo cuentas de lo que le evitaba a su hijo en gastos funerarios. Un día antes le regaló al muchacho todos sus guardados  y le dijo que se iba de viaje por el mundo. Así también le ahorraba la pena.
Al  golpear contra el firme rocoso murió, más la muerte no fué como la esperaba. Le seguían doliendo las encías.
ENGLISH VERSION.

Basil was so tight with money that he would always find a way not to spend it. Truly legendary in that sense. Always squeezed a nickel 'til the eagle shit. This time he managed to get free housing through a job as night watchman at the cemetery. And being the only live person in the premises he slept great.
He was walking past a gym that day and thought about how much he saved not being a member and getting his own exercise for free taking hikes at the close by volcano area. That time he went climbing all the way to the crater.He sat at the edge gazing into the abyss and reflecting on how unfair it all had been.
After his wife passed he worked hard to gather a small fortune . The doctor had recently diagnosed him with something terminal. When he was told the cost of the final treatment, he flat refused it and said he would rather die than having to pay such an outrageous sum.
Just yesterday he made up his mind to go and visit his only son and gave him all his money telling him he was going to be away on a trip around the world and that this was a gift to him.
It was now the time to jump inside the crater, this would spare his son from the grief and the funeral expenses.
When his body ended the freefall and smashed against the rock, he died. But death was not at all the way he had anticipated. His gums still hurt.

El buzo encontró los brazos de la Venus de Milo, y ahí mismo comprendió que algún moralista extremo del pasado la había mutilado debido a que con ambas manos hacía la obscena señal del dedo.

ENGLISH VERSION.

The deep sea diver found the arms that belonged to the Venus, and right then he realized that some extreme moralist from the past had mutilated the statue because with both hands she was giving out the finger.

Al estrenarse el centro de casas en condominio más exclusivo de la ciudad, se habían protegido contra toda posible falla. Los jardines de regado automático igualaban a los del palacio de Versalles. Tenían todas las amenidades, campo de golf, piscinas, bibliotéca , gimnasios , cines, y más.
Se inauguró con fiestón colosal de gala.
Al final del baile todos se fueron a sus nuevas casas a dormir. Pero los perros no los dejaban descansar de tanto ladrar. La situación fué resuelta por un director de orquesta que organizó a todo el equipo de seguridad del complejo habitacional , a que por las noches redistribuyeran a los canes acomodándolos en forma que sus ladridos tocaran "Las cuatro estaciones", de Vivaldi, .

ENGLISH VERSION.

The city's most exclusive home development was inaugurated with a grand ball.
Needless to say the resident's enjoyed all imaginable amenities. Golf course, pools, polo field, theaters,library, you name it.
At the end of the celebration everyone went to sleep in their new homes. But all were dismayed to find that the collective barking of all their dogs would not let them sleep.
The issue was solved by a virtuoso orchestra director, who organized the security officers to distribute the dogs at night in a way that the barks played Vivaldi's "Four Seasons".

Y Dios apareció en la tierra en forma humana y arregló reunirse con toda la humanidad en un fiestón.
Le llovieron reclamos y recuentos de toda la falta que hizo para poner orden a través de los milenios de historia y no se diga en el presente.
----A mí no me reclamen, el mundo lo degradaron ustedes por ambición ,violencia y negligencia. Y no sean amargosos con ésta historia que les parece tan larga. Allá en la eternidad equivale a menos de un segundo.
Anden, celebren, bailen samba. Todo quedará arreglado en minutos.----

And God appeared on earth in human form and managed to gather with all of humanity in a festivity.
Complaints rained on him about his abscence throughout milleniums of history, not excluding present times.
----I'm not to blame. Most of what took place was caused by everybody giving in to greed , hate and violence. But don't be so bitter about this. From the vantage point of eternity this all happened in less than a second. Go ahead, everyone dance the samba. Everything will be straightened out within minutes,---
