MICRO STORY ABOUT A FIGHT AMONGST DOCTORS---MICRO RELATO ACERCA DE PELEA ENTRE DOCTORES. copyright Carlos de la Parra.Versión en español e ENGLISH VERSION FOLLOWS,just clic down.

ENGLISH VERSION.

Around the middle of the fifth round, the fight increased in fierceness.
The fight had been titled "The battle of the doctors",because not only both contenders had been medical students, but the referee too.

Axbutcher Johnson could not avoid thinking about the fact that he had been a student of plastic surgery and at this moment he was intent on disfiguring his opponent.

And the other fighter Killer Kilgore reflected on the observation that he who was close to graduating as an eye specialist, had just bludgeoned his rival's eyesight to near blindness,as he kept punching the purple swollen flesh on Ax's lids.

Between rounds the referee wondered how a dentist like him was picking up pieces of broken teeth from the canvas.

OREMUS--LET US PRAY. micro story by Carlos de la Parra.

Ella lo encontró rezando . Hincado y mirando hacia la luna. No resistió comentarle.

She found him deeply in prayer, kneeling and looking at the moon. She could not hold her comment.
----I was under the impression that you did not believe in God.----

---I have no way of proving such a thing. And little matters really if I believe or not.But if he does exist,it's important that through my deeds,God may believe in me.That's why I pray.In case he can hear me.---

He was a self made man.
Through superhuman effort he had clawed his way up the ladder of status and had arrived.
He managed to occupy a gorgeous pent house in one of the world's most expensive zip codes.Park avenue.
New York city.
But in a few minutes, against his own will, the entire who is who of Manhattan would be partying at his place.
Politicians ,bankers, stars, the fashion world and an assortment of strangers were minutes away from parading by his terrace garden endowed with one of the city's best views.
His success derived purely from hard work and the promotion of some of the world's noblest causes, including the protection of the sick and the needy, along with organizing a group that had purchased part of the amazon rain forest and was now dedicated to restore the ecology in the region.
That's how his agent had talked him into throwing this party,he convinced him this event would be a hit fund raiser for his causes, and although he doubted that this was the best course to take,he didn't want to owe these people any favors,he had always managed to succeed with his own funds from extremely prolific book sales, and now, having drunk a couple of quarts of whiskey and champagne, and munched on some hors d'ourves,he was getting sick to his stomach,as he watched the street below with the arriving crowd swarmed by papparazzi and the flashes from their cameras. He reached his illuminated drunken stage and grabbed on to the railing at the edge and released the tremendous pressure that had built inside his stomach, and exploded out of his mouth a mega vomit, aiming at all the arriving guests he so much despised.
But in his drunken stupor he failed to calculate that such a gastric shower would not soak them as he intended, for the flight of the liquids and food he had ejected dissolved into a soft putrid fog through the flight down the 42 story building.
But as the guests approached him,and he smelled the mixture of his vomit with their expensive colognes and perfumes,he realized these people had been sprayed in such fashion many times before as he recognized the odor on them.
It was an epiphany. He roared with laughter as they came to greet him.

Micro relato acerca de un necrófilo cotidiano---Microstory about an everyday necrophile. Copyright Carlos de la Parra.ENGLISH AND SPANISH VERSIONS OF THIS WEIRD STORY.clic down to get your summer reading updated.

No fumar.
No somos nada.

                                        AN EVERYDAY NECROPHILE.

Phillip Muffin loved death. Not the kind of person who is always taking a fatal risk or anything like that. But he would hardly touch any other subject. He seemed to be overly impressed by the fact that people die.
And mind you he was overly careful to avoid any harm. The right nutrition.Fruit in the morning.Salads and chicken for dinner. No fat,no salt,no sugar,no flour.A glass of wine with the evening meal to avoid a heart attack.Breathing exercise in the morning and an hour at the gym to ensure the best possible physical fitness.
But once he arrived at his peers's reunions ,one could predict the body count. He would say things like--- we are nothing,---life is a fifteen minute event---and he would say ---dust to dust---,more than any preacher.
----Guess who croaked?---My primary care doctor.Anyone knows a good doctor?---
Oh and he would keep you updated with all the fatal incidents from all over. The tsunamis, earthquakes, wars ,terrorism, crimes, you name it.
So one day all of his fifteen regular friends were celebrating a birthday, when someone arrived with the news that Phillip Muffin had passed away due to a heart attack at the gym.It was a shock to everyone.Although somebody cracked,---Yeah,Muffin is in the coffin---it was also widely commented that he was the first and only one to have died in our group of friends, and everyone missed him,but not for long. After he left us ,one by one began dying like flies.Phillip was right.Dust to dust.
